I’ve had an awakening late in life. I realize that through living life, it has – in a practical sense – educated me. And what happens when one learns something and has the maturity to analyse it in human terms? They realize how much it is that they don’t really know. You come to truly understand the meaning of, “The more you know, the less you know”.
You can handle this epiphany one of two ways:
- Throw your hands up to the futility of life and to realize at the moment of your death that you never really made any real difference to those that will come after you. OR…
- Learn as much as you can and spread that knowledge and truth to those that will be able to use it and then die with the knowledge that whether you made a difference or not, you didn’t give up on the life that was gifted to you.
That is the foundation of this political blog. I chose #2: I choose not to go quietly into that night.
The United States Constitution and capitalism (as opposed to crapitalism) are two of the most uplifting instruments that have ever been created from the minds of men and women. The Constitution being a miracle of minds and capitalism being a system as I see as being a natural occurrence between a civilized, free people.
