I believe that at some point it always catches up to you via karma, conscience or whatever: even the top-level liar in the US Government has to face their sins to man & God.
Or perhaps the truth got so outrageous that they were beyond even the most highly-skilled liars.
We may never know the REAL reason he’s leaving but what we WILL know as a certainty; they will never tell us the truth about it. …until Carney writes his ‘tell-all’ book and maybe even then NOT.
